Silje started working in the healthcare service, taking care of our elderly as an authorized assisting nurse. After a few years, she found her other passion and started at the Oslo and Akershus University College. First-year was a quick introduction to basic electronics and coding, then she continued towards a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, which was completed in 2012. The same year, Silje moved back to Stavanger and started working as an Engineer in Subsea Robotics & Offshore Project Group at Oceaneering AS. Working on a wide range of projects doing 3D modeling, 2D drawings, writing manuals, supporting assembly, and testing. After 10 years, Silje joined Stinger Technology in the end of the summer of 2022 as our new Project Manager.
With a good eye for details, Silje also likes to plan well in advance and be organized. When she is not at work, she runs a hotel for her family with excellent food and service. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and day trips with her family, and knitting when she has a few minutes to herself.
