STAVANGER 22 August 2107 – Statoil has awarded a test pilot for the performance of periodic structural ROV inspections using equipment developed by Stinger and partners for mini ROV inspections offshore Norway. All the operations will be performed from the platform without any support vessels, in opposition to previous inspections performed by larger subsea contractors in 2015 and 2016. The contract will combine the use of existing proprietary MSS ROV technology in combination with equipment developed especially for this this application.
